Measure an existing ring
Choose a ring that fits the same finger. Measure its inside diameter from inner edge to inner edge through the centre, in millimetres. Do not include the metal band.
Galassia Jewels
A fine jewel should feel as considered in its fit as it is in its creation.
Whether for yourself or someone special, this guide helps you find the size and proportion that feels most natural.
Rings
The most reliable way to determine your ring size is to measure a ring that already fits the intended finger comfortably.
For additional guidance, our Client Advisors are available to assist you personally.
Choose a ring that fits the same finger. Measure its inside diameter from inner edge to inner edge through the centre, in millimetres. Do not include the metal band.
Wrap a flexible tape, narrow paper strip or non-stretching string around the base of your finger. Mark where the ends meet and measure the length in millimetres.
Finger size can vary with temperature and throughout the day. For the most reliable result, measure at different times when your hands are neither unusually cold nor warm.

We generally recommend choosing the larger size. A ring should pass comfortably over the knuckle while sitting securely at the base of the finger.
Wider bands often feel more fitted than fine bands in the same size. For substantial bands, eternity designs or important diamond rings, speak with a Client Advisor before ordering.
Bracelets
Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around the wrist where you intend to wear your bracelet. The tape should rest against the skin without pulling tightly.
A close-fitting bracelet requires very little additional room, while a chain or tennis bracelet should have enough ease to move naturally.
Bracelet fit
Use your wrist measurement as a considered starting point.
| Wrist measurement | Suggested Galassia size |
|---|---|
| 12.1–13.3 cm | XS |
| 13.4–14.6 cm | S |
| 14.7–15.9 cm | M |
| 16.0–17.1 cm | L |
| 17.2–18.4 cm | XL |
| 18.5–19.7 cm | XXL |
Choose a size that sits relatively near your wrist measurement.
Allow approximately 1–1.5 cm of additional room.
Allow approximately 1.5–2 cm, depending on the design and your preferred movement.
Bangles
Unlike a flexible bracelet, a closed bangle must pass over the widest part of the hand.
Bring your thumb and little finger together as though you were putting on a bangle. Wrap a flexible tape around the widest part of the hand and record the circumference.
A tailored approach
Always refer to the individual piece’s sizing information where provided. For an especially close or tailored fit, we recommend contacting a Galassia Client Advisor.
Necklaces & Pendants
Necklace length determines not only where a jewel sits, but how it interacts with the neckline, pendant and other pieces worn alongside it.
Neck circumference, height, body proportions and neckline can all influence the final position.
Necklace lengths
A guide to how each length typically falls.
| Length | Approx. length | Typical position |
|---|---|---|
| 14 in | 35.5 cm | Close to the neck |
| 16 in | 40.5 cm | At the base of the neck |
| 18 in | 45.7 cm | Around the collarbone |
| 20 in | 50.8 cm | Below the collarbone |
| 22 in | 55.9 cm | Upper chest |
| 24 in | 61 cm | Mid-chest |
| 30 in | 76.2 cm | Long-line styling |
Try it at home
Cut a piece to the length you are considering and place it around your neck. Consider where the centre will fall—especially for a pendant, which may sit differently from a delicate chain at the same length.
Selecting a gift?
An existing piece can often provide the best reference. For rings, discreetly measure the inside diameter of a ring worn on the intended finger. For bracelets and necklaces, an existing piece can similarly indicate a preferred length and fit.
If you are uncertain, our Client Advisors can help you select the most considered option while preserving the surprise.
